The Game of Bridge
The card game of Bridge is a challenging, complex mindsport which will exercise your mind, help improve your memory and teach you to develop problem-solving strategies. Bridge began in the United Kingdom as the game of Whist, a simple trick-taking game still played today.
Through input by players and analysis, Bridge has evolved into a life-long learning activity.
Along with the skill development of each player, Bridge provides meaningful social interaction with your partner and opponents by communicating, reasoning, quick thinking, patience, concentration, and logic.

MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO
Hey, I’m Jane Lamont!
My Bridge Journey in Alberta
Hello, fellow bridge enthusiasts! I am a proud Canadian based in the beautiful province of Alberta, where the Wild Rose blooms as our provincial flower. My passion for bridge spans over 50 years, starting as a social pastime and blossoming into a competitive pursuit that led me to earn my ACBL LifeMaster credential.
The Birth of Wild Rose Bridge 2024
After dedicating eight years to offering bridge lessons and facilitating club play at the Okotoks Bridge Club and Wild Rose Bridge Club, I founded Wild Rose Bridge 2024. This endeavor is a natural extension of my lifelong love for the game and a commitment to sharing that love with others. The name pays homage to Alberta’s emblematic flower, symbolizing beauty and resilience—qualities I see in the game of bridge itself.
A Passion for Teaching
Upon retiring eight years ago from a career as a database administrator in the oil & gas sector, I turned my focus to teaching. I earned my ACBL Teacher’s Certificate and later added an Online Teacher’s Certificate to my credentials. This transition allowed me to channel my analytical skills and attention to detail into a more personal and rewarding field.
Bridging the Gap
Offering online lessons and private coaching brings me immense joy. I relish the opportunity to help players of all levels learn and improve, aiming to ‘bridge’ the gap between where they are now and where they aspire to be in their bridge journey. Whether you’re a novice eager to learn the ropes or an experienced player looking to refine your skills, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you for being part of this exciting community, and I look forward to many shared victories and learning experiences at the bridge table. Let’s make every hand a memorable one!
